SAMA SELECTS FORD BRONCO RAPTOR AS
“STAR” OF MIAMI AUTO SHOW

SAMA judges selected the Ford Bronco Raptor for its annual “Star of
the Show” Award at the 2022 Miami International Auto Show, it was
announced Saturday (Oct. 15) during Media Day activities for the
annual event.
The award is designed to recognize what a panel of judges deem is the
vehicle “that people will talk about after the visiting the show, the
one that attracts the must buzz, public interest, and crowds around
the vehicle.”
Billed as a performance off-roader, the Bronco Raptor edged four other
vehicles for the top honor as for the first time since SAMA began
making the award in 2007 judges recognized “runner-up” vehicles for
the honor.
First runner-up was the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 followed by the second
runner-up the Ford Lighting F-150 all electric pickup, and two third
runners-up, the Cadillac Lyriq, an all-electric SUV, and the
performance-oriented Toyota GR Corolla hatchback.
In addition to the automotive awards, Albert Cavallo of the Moore
Agency was named the recipient of the annual Ron Beasley Memorial
Award for his long support of SAMA activities through the years in
working with Ford. SAMA officers made the selection of the award that
is named to honor the late SAMA founder Ron Beasley.
The Miami International Auto Show continues its run through Oct. 13 at
the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami.
